The brief
Amadán is a response to the underuse and under appreciation of Irish materials. We often look abroad when we think of quality design and materials but we have what we need here already.
Amadán is made using wood and wool entirely sourced from Ireland.

CMF of variations on the design, the CMF is considered in respect of what materials are available and sustainable manufacturing techniques.
Reflection
It was great to focus in on vernacular design in Ireland. Meeting inspiring designers, makers and producers showed me the amazing network here. I hope to make this chair physically in the future.
